I went over to moms early to cook our Thanksgiving feast. I arrived around 10am with my special mushroom and red pepper stuffing, potato salad, and my little girl. Ronin was very upset to be left home with Sean but we explained to him that since he refuses to nap at my mom's (Vovo's) he could come over after his nap. Ronin woke up Tday morning "not feeling well in his belly" so we all thought a good nap was definitely in order. Autumn and I played as my mom "came to herself" having stayed up late to "prep" the turkey. I prepped the bird and sewed her shut and popped her in the over by 11:30am. I had already tossed Autumn into the crib by 11am and she babbled at us for almost an hour.
She now says "catcatcat", "quack duck", "no no!", "oh no!", "ah oh", "hi", "bye" and Sean heard, "what's that?" and "hi daddy." She can also wave hi and bye now and when you say "come" she says "ca-ca" and moves her hands.
I cooked and cooked and helped mom place all her bills online. Then Autumn woke up around 2pm. We fed her avocado and yogurt and I made he string beans and mashed potatoes. The turkey came out around 3:30pm and I immediately went to work on the gravy. It was much better this year. We had a lovely Tday. Ronin told us all that he was grateful for "milk, apple juice, his baby almond, and his trains." He ate his turkey in about 3 minutes w/ ketchup. And he loved the pumpkin and blueberry pies. Autumn ate double fisted - turkey in one hand and stuffing in the other. She loved the food and giggled the entire meal. Then the kids played some more and we brought them home in their PJs.
